Nathan Evans first posted his rendition of The Longest Johns' "Wellerman" on TikTok and it went viral on the platform at the end of 2020. That success led to him being signed by United Talent Agency and Universal's Polydor Records which, in turn, released this song officially on the 17th of February 2021.
